Full Details for 3 Bedroom Detached for sale in Maidstone, ME15 :
The perfect chance to enjoy village life at its best. The Loose stream begins its journey in Langley and gently winds its way through the beautiful Kent countryside. Taking in no less than 14 mill houses as it eventually joins the river Medway in Tovil.Well this delightfully charming detached house, which is set beautifully in an outstanding position within the Loose Valley is one of those former mill houses. The home itself is a four storey, three bedroom mill house which dates back 350 years and was the village mill. The wheel was removed in the 1920's, however the waterfall and Loose stream still run along the side of the house, which is very hypnotic and relaxing. The top floor, although currently used for storage could potentially be divided into two further bedrooms. For those who are green fingered the excellent wrap around gardens are large enough to cater for the most demanding of gardeners.New really does meet old in this wonderful home. It is also perfectly positioned for a short walk along the Loose stream to take full advantage of The Chequers public house. A friendly country pub atmosphere serving renowned food and ales.
When we first viewed our home the quirky layout really appealed to us. We have improved our home enormously over the years and the addition of the conservatory really brings the garden and home together. We have loved sitting on the decking taking in the evening sun, relaxing with friends and family as the stream passes literally by your side, teaming with brown trout darting between the pebbles. We have loved living in the peaceful village; yet we are just a 10 minute drive from Maidstone town centre and a 45 minute commutable drive to the city. The good rail links into London have also been very convenient.
