This beautiful mansion building is surrounded by peaceful countryside, stunning grounds and boasts breath-taking views. The very grand, sweeping, private drive leads you to an elevated, secluded location where you can marvel at the view before entering the main building. The first thing you notice is the wonderfully elegant staircase and very impressive entrance hall. Once inside the main apartment, you will be bowled over by the sheer amount of space on offer. The lounge/diner can only be described as incredible with a vast amount of space, wonderful high ceilings and a fantastic focal window seat. The size of this room means it accommodates a table and chairs effortlessly, allowing you to entertain in style. If you have always dreamt of a large kitchen then you will be truly spoilt here as there is an abundance of room to get out the cookery books and rustle up something special. If your guests want to stay the night you can put them up with ease thanks to the large double bedroom upstairs. The second double bedroom on the ground floor has a vast amount of built-in storage and is just across from the luxury bathroom, where you can escape away to a well earned soak or powerful wake-up shower. If you like the idea of somewhere secure to store all your possessions, you are sure to be in awe of the walk-in safe. It would also be an ideal wine cellar! Outside the exceptional grounds are meticulously kept, so you can take your pick of areas to relax in the sunshine and there is even a double garage and allocated parking too.

What the Owner says:

I fell in love with this grand apartment over 20 years ago and as well as the breath-taking position, size and character, it was also the history I was drawn to. Anstie Grange was built by Admiral Leopold Heath and later enhanced by his son Cuthbert Heath, a leading member of Lloyds of London Insurers. During the first World War it was loaned to the nation to be used as a military hospital for wounded officers. In the second World War it pressed into service again, this time as a training centre for the Army Nursing Service - on one occasion Queen Mary attended the passing out parade on the lawn. I have transformed this apartment since owning it including having secondary glazing fitted as well as the new bathroom with underfloor heating.
