What The Owner Says
We have owned the Penthouse since its conversion and have enjoyed the amazing space, light, privacy and security. We benefit from having exceptionally quiet neighbours (the Police training college) who bring the added bonus of making the area crime free! The local area is also a fabulous base for Heaton Park, local shops, places of worship, restaurants and the city centre (only 2 miles away). We most definitely have the best of both worlds.
During the past few years we have upgraded the bathroom, kitchen and have re glazed all of the windows in the apartment. Both our apartment and the whole property have been well maintained and the gardens are especially enjoyable with a good book and a glass of wine when the weather allows it.
It is with a heavy heart we need to move due to work and we hope the next owners enjoy this unique and versatile space as much as we do.
The entrance hall is complimented with wooden flooring and video entry system. The magnificent spacious open plan living room incorporates the dining room and kitchen with a feature bay window to the front of the property and makes a fantastic entertaining space as well as practical for every day living, with a feature living flame gas coal fire and high apex ceiling with exposed wooden beams. There is an open plan spiral staircase leading to an elevated reception area and gallery. The kitchen area comprises of fitted wall/base units with a white high gloss finish and granite effect heat resistant work surfaces which incorporates a breakfast bar, integrated electric oven and four ring gas hob, integrated fridge and freezer, space for dishwasher. The elevated gallery area includes a fully opening aspect window (flying mullion) and two Velux windows with blinds, apex ceiling with exposed wooden beams and a gallery bannister overlooking the main reception room below.
The master bedroom is a spacious double room with enjoyable views over the gardens to the front elevation, storage area which is currently used as a wardrobe. the second bedroom is also a double room with built in storage cupboard. There is a modern shower room with larger than average walk in shower cubicle, low level toilet, pedestal wash hand basin, fully tiled walls and floor, heated chrome towel rail/radiator. There is also a utility room with space for washing machine etc this room was originally a guest WC and this could easily be converted back as the vendors inform me that the pipework is still in place.
