This property was great for my father, it was a brilliant compromise on a smaller property from our family home for him. Joseph Conrad House was in the ideal location, close to the family and close to town too, convenient for maintaining a strong social life. As an academic, Dad was very glad of the second bedroom which became his study and housed lots of books so he didn’t have to give these things up in his retirement. The Store Room, or Dad’s ‘indoor shed’ as it is known to our family allowed him to keep a lot of bits and bobs tucked away but within easy reach too.
