Full Details for 2 Bedroom Detached for sale in Dunoon, PA23 :

Traditional cottage, with annexe, set in the quiet and peaceful rural village of Clachaig, approximately 6 miles from Dunoon. The cottage itself has two sitting rooms, one double bedroom (although this could easily be one sitting room and two bedrooms), kitchen and shower room. The adjoining annexe has sitting room/kitchenette and bedroom. Underneath the cottage are three large cellars which are ideal as workshops or for storage. Set in large, private, enclosed grounds this is sure to appeal to anyone looking for a holiday bolthole, away from the hustle and bustle of modern day living.

Clachaig is a small hamlet of little more than 20 houses and although it feels like it is out in the wilderness it is only around six miles, a ten minute drive, from Dunoon, the capital town of Cowal. At just over a mile long the settlement was originally built for accommodation for the workers of the powder mill, manufacturing gun powder. Clachaig is a Gaelic word meaning ‘stone place’ and the river at the bottom of the glen is the Little Eachaig.
