Full Details for 2 Bedroom Detached for sale in Banstead, SM7 :
Another property under offer through Sale By Tender… Selling your house by informal tender = top price and no commission fees.
Whether you’re upsizing, downsizing, a first time buyer, an investor or just want to be within walking distance of Banstead Village, then read on, this could be the property for you!Two bedroom maisonettes are hard to find in Banstead Village normally, but if you add to your criteria the need for a direct access to a private garden and a reasonable length of lease, your choice soon becomes very limited.Castleton Close is a small development of maisonettes where the owners have a share of the freehold and they also run their own management company. This means they have more control over their costs and can keep their maintenance charges to a minimum. The main attraction for the owner was the cosy, yet spacious lounge/diner, with its bright and airy feel and leafy views, together with its location. It’s a very safe area in a cul-de-sac position, set away from the main road.Being on the ground floor affords the owners the luxury of having direct access out onto their own landscaped, leafy, rear garden via recently replaced French doors - great if you have children or like entertaining in the summer! This home has been recently modernised and is neutrally decorated, so there is little to do. The modern Walnut finish kitchen is extensively fitted, offering an array of built-in appliances and both the bedrooms are similar sized, double rooms with built-in wardrobes.
We bought this property 13 years ago, downsizing and relocating from Suffolk to be closer to our children that already lived in the village.
We liked the spacious sizes of the rooms and fact that this particular maisonette was so handy to the village and set away from the noise of the main road.
We fitted a new gas radiator heating system 2 years ago, replacing the old warm air system, and redecorating throughout. There is an original parquet floor which is a nice feature and we have laid low maintenance astro-turf to the garden.
**Please note there is a crack in the garage wall that will require some structural work. We have been told it should cost around £8,000 to fix the problem
