The History
This unique beach chalet started life around the turn of the 20th century. The horse drawn \"hut\" was situated with others in the undulating sand dunes of Riviere Towans, Hayle. During the summer months, the horse drawn caravans were spread out among the dunes providing a home from home for the families who spent most of the summers here year after year, often still going to work in the local towns but escaping to the peace of the towans, to join their families for the long lazy summer evenings. The wheeled horse drawn huts were gathered together for protection during the winter months in an area nearby.
