The West Dorset town of Lyme Regis lies some three miles away and remains a popular destination for holiday makers attracted to its unspoilt nature. The town contains small supermarkets and a range of smaller independent shops along with many pubs, cafes and restaurants. People can take part in a wide range of leisure activities including fishing, golf, bowls and sailing to name a few along with enjoying the beaches. Further along the coast there are the larger towns of Bridport and Weymouth.

Facilities on site include a large seasonally heated swimming pool and children's paddling pool. There is a further indoor pool with sauna that can be used all year round. For children there is a play area and there is a laundrette for owners use. Even though this lodge has allocated parking, there is further communal parking available.
