We have lived here for eight and a half years and enjoyed every minute. It is like living in the middle of the countryside without being too isolated, as we are very close to all the amenities of Newport, just five minutes by car. There is nothing nicer than a 15 minute stroll along the Medina River bank to the Bargeman's Rest for a nice meal on their terrace on the riverbank, or stay at home and open the bi folding doors and enjoy the outdoor living on the decking area looking over the land and pond with all the wildlife, including the red squirrels, we will really miss this. We have direct access to the Newport to Cowes cycleway which runs along the river to Cowes, also in the other direction all the way to Sandown, which is very pleasant level cycling, as well as the pleasant walk into the lovely old historic town of Newport with its shops, varied quality eating facilities, cinema and other amenities.
