Full Details for 2 Bedroom Apartment for sale in Broadstairs, CT10 :
Charleston Court is an impressive and unusual block of apartments on Western Esplanade, overlooking Viking Bay in Broadstairs. It was originally built in 1995 to a very high standard and it is so popular that flats rarely appear on the market and, when they do, get snapped up very quickly. Security is an important factor with key card access for residents and an entry phone system for visitors.Another real bonus in Broadstairs is the underground car park, with an allocated space for each apartment and, if that is not enough, there is a beautiful indoor swimming pool available to residents with changing rooms and a cloakroom. As you walk into the main apartment block you are greeted by a magnificent central atrium with a glass roof. This property is on the ground floor and is handily adjacent to the main front door.Entering the apartment you immediately get the impression of space and elegance, particularly when you go into the calm and peaceful living room. This large, open-plan lounge/dining room and attractive modern kitchen, designed by Umbermaster, is absolutely delightful and leads on to the balcony where you can see the sea and enjoy the sunshine all day.The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom, while there is also a visitors’ bathroom and second bedroom. This is currently being used as a dressing room surrounded by wardrobes offering plenty of storage space, but could be turned back into a double bedroom if required.Broadstairs is a real gem of a town in Thanet, with its plethora of individual shops, restaurants and Victorian buildings. Just below the apartments is the idyllic Viking Bay with its picturesque harbour and beautiful sandy beach while, adjacent, Louisa Bay is a minute’s walk and stretches for miles to Dumpton Gap.For some serious retail therapy, Westwood Cross ticks all the boxes, with its wide range of high street stores, while the Vue cinema complex and casino caters for a variety of entertainment needs. There are excellent transport links, with nearby bus stops to Margate and Ramsgate and the main-line station for the high-speed link to Canterbury and London, with the time to St. Pancras being about 1 hour and 22 minutes. The newly completed dual carriageway network to Dover and the Thanet Way and M2 to Faversham and London makes Broadstairs very accessible for road commuters.
When we were originally looking for a property, Broadstairs was our first choice. Not only is it a lovely seaside town but it also has the fast links to London which we thought would be perfect for travelling to the capital whether it be for work or pleasure.
The location of Charleston Court, however, was what drew us to buy here. To be so close to the seafront is a real treat. Walks along the clifftops or even the beach, admiring the views of the sea as you go, enjoying some fish and chips on the pier as the fishing boats bob on the water’s surface or simply having a nice meal out at one of the many popular restaurants which are all a stone’s throw away. We knew that when we were in the area we could simply leave our car in the underground parking space and enjoy all the area has to offer on foot.
The apartment is light and spacious and the ideal size to enjoy the time you spend indoors, with a large lounge area to really spread your wings. Not only that, but this fantastic room also has doors leading out to the private balcony. A perfect spot to take advantage of the good weather at home with a glass of wine and gaze at the stunning view of Broadstairs.
