I made the decision to buy this cottage on a sunny day, the village is so pretty, the fabulous architecture of the church, old listed buildings along with the friendliness of the locals was the deciding factor before even walking inside.
I've made changes and have put doors from the dining area to outside. The sun streams in the back making it fabulous to sit and have breakfast in the summer, so much so I redesigned the garden put in the water feature and the garden outbuilding stores everything away neatly.
In closing I hold flood insurance cover, but the government have now advised they are putting in greater flood defences. My cottage had flood damage, as a result the work carried out has made it even better, its now like a new home downstairs.
