I moved into the flat in 2005 and can genuinely say I have loved living there over the past 8 years. The location is just fantastic, as you are never more than 10mins away from whatever you may need. The Penge high street offers a range of supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, gastro pubs, butchers, chemists, beauticians and hairdressers etc. You are also within 10mins walk of Crystal Palace park which is such a great place to take visitors- they are always particularly impressed by the Dinosaurs Court!
The transport links are simply superb, with trains from Kent House direct to Victoria, Penge West direct to Canada Water, Clock House direct to Charing Cross, and Anerley direct to London Bridge (to name but a few routes people typically use if working in London). Essentially no matter where in London you need to get to you will find a station close by which will get you there and this has very much impressed any visitors I've had over the years!
Regarding the actual flat, it is really a great place to live. The split level design, coupled with the high ceilings, period features and overall layout make it very enjoyable to furnish. Everyone who visits always comment on what a lovely flat it is. There is lots of natural light in every room thanks to the big windows, and there is also great storage with the loft space proving invaluable over the years. And finally my neighbours are simply lovely and I will miss them greatly when I move.
