Located within the Conservation Area, the property is centrally positioned in the High Street of this pretty Hampshire village. Cobbett in 1823 noted that \"nothing could surpass in beauty these dales and hillocks and hangers\". In true country traditions, the village has a post office/general stores, several specialist establishments, a primary school, church, village hall, recreation ground and 2 inns, and lies between the country towns of Alton and Petersfield. Selborne within the South Downs National Park is also renowned for its network of unique walks and its connections with the 18th Century naturalist Gilbert White.

Directions
From Alton town centre, leave towards Winchester on Butts Road passing the green on the right and immediately bear left at the two railway arch mini-roundabouts onto the B3006 Selborne road. Enter the village passing Gracious Street on the right hand side and the property will be found almost directly opposite Gilbert White's House.
