Owners Comments
When we came to Bakers Dozen we could chase the grandchildren up the garden to the summerhouse - It sits at the top of the garden and rewards the user with a magnificent view across the river Frome and down the valley. As the children grew older \"hide and seek\" became the game, enjoyed in the \"Three Rooms\" of the garden. Lower room with Shed and beds. Middle room with pond - patio - and plum trees. Higher room with trees - shrubs - and summerhouse. Once to old for hide and seek (if that's possible) lazy days on the \"middle\" patio became the pastime, with chilly evenings spent in the warmth of the summerhouse with wine and pop. When family visits and guest evenings are in full swing, we appreciate the space and together spirit of the kitchen diner - for some the sanctuary of the comfortable lounge, for others the \"lean to\" conservatory and the adjacent patio are a gathering place. The secret loft ( up the static ladder ) has its attractions for the curious, and makes a great children's den.We always wanted to \"live by the sea\" and now that the family are spread from Exeter to London It is time for us to make the move!!Bakers Dozen is a great family home - with almost \"Tardis\" room, we will leave with wonderful memories and feel sure the new owners will create their own.
