What the Owner says:

What I found fascinating about this apartment when I bought it 11 years ago was the sheer amount of history attached to it. Anstie Grange was built by Admiral Leopold Heath and later enhanced by his son Cuthbert Heath, a leading member of Lloyds of London Insurers. During the first World War it was loaned to the nation to be used as a military hospital for wounded officers. In the second World War it was pressed into service again, this time as a training centre for the Army Nursing Service - on one occasion Queen Mary attended the passing out parade on the lawn. It was really interesting to find this all out and anyone interested can find more information at the Dorking museum. I have transformed this apartment since owning it and have thoroughly loved living here.
